In the spring of 2022, on May 17th, the life of Eric D. Boone, a 42-year-old Black male, was cut short in Lexington, Kentucky. The incident unfolded in the late afternoon, around 5:57 p.m., in the 400 block of East New Circle Road, a busy thoroughfare in the city. It was there that officers were dispatched following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Boone suffering from gunshot wounds.
