In the heart of winter, just two days after his eighteenth birthday, Clinton Kwan Sherwood Jr., a young Black / African American man, was tragically killed. On the afternoon of January 15, 2021, the sound of gunshots echoed through his apartment building in the 600 block of Freeman Drive in Kansas City, Kansas. Worried neighbors quickly dialed 911. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the young man, a student at Washington High School, deceased inside his home.
