On July 13, 2014, at approximately 1 a.m., Donchell Thomas, aged 21, was fatally shot while seated in a blue Honda Accord near North Capitol and T Streets NW in Washington, D.C. The vehicle was driven by Derek Price, aged 20, with Thomas in the back seat and another passenger in the front seat. The incident occurred when Jimmie Fleming, aged 36, and a juvenile approached the car and were allowed to enter the back seat.
