On May 14, 2005, Kumash Deonauth, aged 21, was fatally shot in the 6500 block of Eastern Avenue, NE, Washington, D.C. The incident took place at approximately 1:00 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, Deonauth was found in his Chevrolet Impala, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, at around 1:38 a.m.
