Do you know who murdered Lovel Alexander?
In the early evening of a Tuesday in Washington, D.C., a residence in the 700 block of Langston Terrace, NE, became the scene of a fatal shooting. On March 15, 2005, at approximately 6 p.m., 33-year-old Lovel Allen, a Black male, was discovered inside with gunshot wounds. Emergency services were called to the location, and he was quickly transported to the Washington Hospital Center in an effort to save his life.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the injuries Mr. Allen sustained were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. At the time of the incident, Lovel Allen was a resident of the 900 block of 21st Street, NE. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and what led to the violent encounter inside the Langston Terrace residence have not been made public.
To date, the case remains an open investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department has not announced any arrests or publicly identified any suspects in connection with the homicide. Authorities have continued to seek assistance from the public, appealing for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the case and bring closure to the friends and family of Lovel Allen.
