In the summer of 2019, a promising young life was abruptly cut short in Washington, D.C. Ahkii Tavon Washington-Scruggs, a 17-year-old Black male, was a student and a dedicated football player at Dunbar High School. He was known for his athletic abilities and was looking forward to his senior year.
