In the late morning of a Wednesday in Washington, D.C., violence shattered the midday calm in a Southeast apartment building. It was there that 34-year-old Antonio Burnette was shot and killed on March 29, 2023. The incident, which occurred around 11:44 a.m. in the 3000 block of 30th Street, SE, also left another man wounded.
