In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 14, 2005, a burst of gunfire shattered the predawn stillness at the intersection of 18th and Savannah Streets in Southeast Washington, D.C. When police arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m., they discovered the bodies of two men, William Souder and his acquaintance, William Cureton, who was also known as 'Snoop.' Both men had been shot to death, their lives ending abruptly in an act of violence that has yet to be solved.
