In the afternoon of Friday, October 25, 2024, tragedy struck in the 2800 block of Langston Place, Southeast, Washington, D.C. At approximately 4:16 p.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the air, prompting a response from the Seventh District officers of the Metropolitan Police Department. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene with two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was 16-year-old Darren Johnson, a resident of Southeast, D.C.
