On the evening of May 1, 2006, a neighborhood party was underway in the Truxton Circle area of Northwest Washington, D.C. Amidst the gathering, 35-year-old Marcus Johnson, a male resident of the neighborhood, found himself in a tragic confrontation. Concerned about the presence of children, Johnson attempted to intervene and stop individuals from discharging firearms. This courageous act would unfortunately be his last.
