In the late afternoon of Sunday, February 26, 2023, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 5100 block of Sheriff Road, Northeast in Washington, D.C. When officers from the Sixth District arrived at the scene around 3:42 p.m., they discovered two men who had been shot. The victims were identified as 34-year-old Harold Bogan, a male from Temple Hills, Maryland, and 32-year-old Wayne Sheppard of Seat Pleasant, Maryland.
