On a Monday afternoon, May 2, 2022, the life of 45-year-old Junior Lee Johnson, a male resident of Southwest, D.C., was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast, in the Carver/Langston neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
