On May 2, 2022, at approximately 3:15 PM, Junior Lee Johnson, aged 45, was tragically shot and killed in the 1600 block of Benning Road, NE, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the homicide. Johnson's death has left the community in shock and mourning, as he was well-known in the area.
