In the early morning hours of September 2, 2023, tragedy struck in a Southeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood, forever altering the lives of one family. Zyion Turner, a 15-year-old male, was fatally shot inside his home on the 4200 block of 4th Street, SE. The incident occurred at approximately 5:59 a.m., a time when the city was just beginning to stir.
