In the pre-dawn hours of a Thursday in Southeast Washington, D.C., a burst of violence shattered the quiet of the Woodland Terrace public housing complex. In a parking lot off of Bruce Place SE, 37-year-old Christopher Devin Heard, a male resident of Oxon Hill, Maryland, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on April 27, 2017. When police arrived at the scene, they pronounced him dead.
