On the evening of May 7, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in the 800 block of Oglethorpe Street, Northeast Washington, D.C., forever altering the lives of two families. When police arrived at the scene around 9:52 p.m., they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to local hospitals for medical attention.
