In the late hours of a Monday night in Washington, D.C., the life of 40-year-old Ronnell Daniels, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 19, 2014, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the unit block of 55th Street, Southeast. Upon arrival, they discovered Daniels suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
