In the late hours of June 14, 2006, a 13-year-old African-American male named DeAngelo Borras was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred just before midnight in the courtyard of an apartment complex located at 120 Irvington Street, Southwest. At the time of the shooting, DeAngelo was engaged in a conversation with his 32-year-old mentor, Terrell Davis.
