On October 5, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue, NE, in Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 33-year-old Najee Dickens. The incident happened at approximately 2:06 am, when officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of a shooting.
