On June 3, 2020, Henry Hackett, a 39-year-old resident of Suitland, Maryland, was fatally shot in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast, Washington, DC. The incident occurred at approximately 10:26 PM, when officers from the Seventh District responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Hackett suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Hackett was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
