In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 36-year-old Ryan Matthews was tragically cut short. On May 18, 2025, at approximately 9:48 p.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the night in the 4600 block of Benning Road, Southeast. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
