Lieutenant Thurman Earl Sharp, aged 55, was tragically shot and killed on December 25, 1988, while working an off-duty security job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sharp, who had served with the Marion County Sheriff's Department for over 22 years, was found dead in the early morning hours of Christmas Day.
