In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July weekend in 2015, the life of 24-year-old John Nathaniel Jones was tragically cut short in Southeast Washington, D.C. Authorities reported that on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at approximately 5:29 a.m., Jones was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in the 2300 block of Green Street.
