In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 20, 2018, the life of 43-year-old Edward Ferrell was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting inside a residence in the 1900 block of Capitol Avenue, Northeast, in Washington, D.C. Responding to reports of gunshots at approximately 5:00 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers discovered Mr. Ferrell, a male, with gunshot wounds. Tragically, he showed no signs of life at the scene and his death was subsequently ruled a homicide.
