In the early hours of April 25, 2024, the life of 38-year-old Ricky Canty of Temple Hills, Maryland, was tragically cut short. At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 4500 block of Sheriff Road, Northeast in Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they discovered Canty suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
