In the early hours of a summer Friday in Washington, D.C., the life of Jimi Imur Pendleton was tragically cut short. On July 27, 2012, in the 2300 block of Park Place in Southeast D.C., officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival at approximately 1:14 a.m., they discovered the 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
