On a Sunday evening in Northeast Washington, D.C., specifically June 28, 2015, tragedy struck. At approximately 5:09 p.m., in the 1600 block of E Street NE, officers responded to a call and discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 33-year-old Darrell Michael Grays, a resident of Northeast, D.C. He was transported to a local hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced dead.
