On April 14, 1989, Aldolph Martino, also known as "Al" or "Al Speedo," was shot and killed while working at the Superior Barber Shop in Southeast Washington, D.C. Martino was cutting a customer’s hair at the shop, located in the Benco Shopping Center on Benning Road, SE, when a masked gunman entered.
