In the late hours of a Monday night in Southeast Washington, a domestic dispute tragically escalated, leaving a family and community to mourn the loss of Anthony Thomas Sr. The 40-year-old man was inside an apartment on the 4200 block of 7th Street, SE, on February 6, 2023, when the violence erupted. Just before 11:30 p.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the night, prompting a response from the Seventh District police.
