In the fall of 2021, a neighborhood dispute in Washington, D.C. tragically cut short the life of 47-year-old Dametrics Evans. On the evening of Monday, October 25, 2021, Evans, a mother of three, found herself in an altercation that would ultimately prove fatal. According to her daughter, who witnessed the harrowing event, Evans attempted to walk away from the escalating conflict. However, she was pursued and shot in the hallway of an apartment building in the 4900 block of G Street, Southeast.
