In the early evening of December 4, 2024, the life of 19-year-old Nadir McCoy was tragically cut short in a Southwest Washington, D.C. apartment. A Black/African American male from the Northwest quadrant of the city, McCoy was discovered by First District officers of the Metropolitan Police Department at approximately 6:31 p.m. inside a residence in the 200 block of I Street, Southwest. He was unconscious, not breathing, and suffering from gunshot wounds.
