On July 18, 2024, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a tragic incident unfolded in Southeast Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 29-year-old Lamont Street from Capitol Heights, Maryland. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 2200 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast.
