Suddenly, the sounds of gunfire shattered the air, sending the children and their parents scrambling for safety.
When the chaos subsided, D'Angelo Taylor was found on the ground, having been shot multiple times. The incident occurred at approximately 7:22 p.m. in the 1500 block of Mississippi Avenue, Southeast. Emergency services responded to the scene, but Taylor showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead.
