On a summer evening in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 16-year-old Nylah Linear was tragically cut short. On July 21, 2021, the female teenager was with her two younger sisters, walking to a family cookout at their aunt's house in the Shawnee neighborhood. As they were outside the home on Cecil Avenue, a drive-by shooting occurred, and Nylah was struck by a stray bullet.
