In the late summer of 2007, the life of a young man was tragically cut short on a street in Washington, D.C. Nineteen-year-old Timothy Alexander Chapman, a Black male, was shot and killed on the night of Wednesday, August 22, 2007. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast. Officers who responded to the scene discovered Chapman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
