On a late spring morning, the familiar rumble of a Washington, D.C. Metro train was shattered by violence, leaving a family and community mourning the loss of 17-year-old Brendan Ofori. The male teenager was traveling on a southbound Green Line train on May 28, 2023, when an altercation with another passenger escalated with deadly finality.
