On December 28, 2016, 32-year-old white female Christina Marie Smith was found fatally shot inside a residence on South Main Street in Burlington, North Carolina. Police responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m. and discovered her body in a room of the home. Witnesses reported that multiple men had entered the residence demanding money, followed by the sound of gunfire before the suspects fled the scene.
Following the incident, Burlington police initiated a homicide investigation and sought assistance from the public to identify and locate the suspects involved. Subsequently, two individuals were arrested in connection with the killing of 32-year-old white female Christina Marie Smith.
Christina Marie Smith, a 32-year-old white female, was remembered as a devoted mother and a cherished member of her community. She was laid to rest following funeral services arranged by Omega Funeral Service & Crematory in Burlington.
