On July 25, 1990, Pamela Mitchell Hoy, aged 41, disappeared from her Burlington, North Carolina home. She was last seen preparing to visit her parents in Greensboro but never arrived. Her van was found a few days later in a motel parking lot near Interstates 40 and 85 in Greensboro. Tragically, five months after her disappearance, her body was discovered in a wooded area near McPherson Road in Guilford County, just a few miles from her home.
