Do you know who murdered Sandra Ann McAfee and Janie Elizabeth Thompson in 1975? On May 2, 1975, Sandra Ann McAfee, aged 21, was found murdered in her Charlotte, North Carolina apartment along with her friend, Janie Elizabeth Thompson. Both women had been shot, and their bodies were discovered by a relative of McAfee after she had failed to respond to attempts to contact her. The murder occurred at their residence on Double Oaks Road.
The case remains unsolved, and despite investigations by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, no suspects have been identified. McAfee's tragic death, alongside her friend, is one of Charlotte’s many cold cases, with authorities still hoping for tips or new evidence to bring closure to the victims' families.
