On a spring evening in Washington, D.C., a young life was tragically cut short by gunfire. Anthony Davon Benson, a 17-year-old male from the neighboring community of Oxon Hill, Maryland, was in the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue, NW on Friday, May 1, 2015. At approximately 7:12 p.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the air, prompting a police response.
