In the late afternoon of August 9, 2022, a tragic event unfolded on the 100 block of Irvington Street in Southwest Washington, D.C., that would claim the life of 20-year-old Brian Buxton. An off-duty Metropolitan Police Department officer was flagged down at approximately 4:52 pm regarding a shooting.
