Jamar DeAndre Jackson, a 19-year-old male, was killed in a shooting on the evening of Friday, May 23, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 10:19 p.m. in the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast. When officers from the Seventh District arrived at the scene, they discovered three males who had sustained gunshot wounds in the roadway.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the location, but despite life-saving efforts, Jamar Jackson and another victim,
16-year-old Royell Walker, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, a 14-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department's Major Case Squad is handling the ongoing investigation into what has been classified as a double homicide.
In the weeks following the shooting, authorities made two arrests in connection with the deaths of Jackson and Walker. On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, police arrested 23-year-old Sean McFadden of Southeast, D.C., based on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant. The following day, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a second suspect, 19-year-old Royale McGlenn Jr. of Hyattsville, Maryland. Both McFadden and McGlenn Jr. have been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
