On Sunday, November 18, 2018, at approximately 6:26 PM, Dwight Banks, a 26-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was fatally shot in the 800 block of Jefferson Street, NW. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and found Banks suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
