Death by Force

Larelle Washington, a 17-year-old senior at KIPP DC College Preparatory Academy, was tragically shot on December 3, 2021, in the 1700 block of Capitol Avenue, Northeast, Washington, D.C. Police responded to the scene around 3:42 p.m. and found Washington suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, Washington succumbed to his injuries three days later, on December 6, 2021.
