When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Millet unconscious but still breathing, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. For three days, medical personnel fought to save his life, but his injuries proved too severe. On Friday, July 31, 2026, Jamari Millet succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
