In the early evening of Monday, January 27, 2020, tragedy struck in the Congress Heights neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C. Angus Houston, a 44-year-old male resident of the area, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 6:43 p.m. in the 1300 block of Congress Street, SE, just blocks away from the Congress Heights Metro Station.
