On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., a man named Derrick Black, 24 years old, lost his life in a burst of violence. The male victim was shot and killed on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at approximately 9:25 p.m. in the 3300 block of Georgia Avenue, NW. After being shot, he fell into the street and was subsequently run over by a car. The entire tragic incident was captured on a security camera.
