In the early evening of a Tuesday in Washington, D.C., a young man's life was cut tragically short. Deonte Pittman, a 19-year-old male, was in the unit block of Galveston Street, SW on May 10, 2022, when violence erupted. At approximately 8:05 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm. When the chaos subsided, Pittman had been fatally shot.
