In the winter of 2021, a quiet Saturday afternoon in Northeast Washington, D.C. was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 30-year-old Isaiah Jamal Glover. On February 6th, at approximately 2:44 p.m., Glover was walking in the 4100 block of Minnesota Avenue NE when he was fatally shot. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found Glover suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were called, but he showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:53 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting quickly led to a suspect. On February 9, 2021, just three days after the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested 25-year-old Keith Hudson of Northeast Washington. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder while armed. According to the government's evidence, Hudson had been driving a white Buick LeSabre and was seen passing Glover, making a U-turn, and passing him again. Hudson then parked his car, got out, and followed Glover into an alley. Unaware he was being followed, Glover was caught by surprise when Hudson drew a. 40 caliber firearm and shot him twice. The fatal injury was a gunshot wound to his brain. After the shooting, Hudson fled the scene.

Keith Hudson was held in custody following his arrest. On April 14, 2023, he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder while armed. On July 14, 2023, a Superior Court judge sentenced Hudson to 19 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Family members of Isaiah Glover spoke during the sentencing, expressing their profound grief and the heavy burden of not knowing the motive behind the senseless act of violence that took their loved one's life.
