On January 9, 2021, 17-year-old Omari Dunn was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 5:28 p.m. in the unit block of Florida Avenue, Northeast. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and found Dunn inside a business establishment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of D.C. Fire and EMS, Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene.
