In the winter of 2016, a life was tragically cut short in the Takoma neighborhood of Washington, D.C. James Dorsey, Jr., a 37-year-old Black/African American man, was shot and killed on the evening of December 26th. The incident unfolded around 7:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Cedar Street NW, just outside a 7-Eleven.
